Welcome to Ava’s Moodles!

It is finally time to match the name with a face. I’m Nicola, the proud founder of Ava’s Moodles. Whenever you reach out to us, you will be speaking directly with me. Located in the picturesque Lockyer Valley in South East Queensland, we are a small-scale, dedicated breeder specialising in multigenerational Moodles since 2019.

Our Modern, Scientific Approach

While our breeding journey began relatively recently, we firmly believe in moving past outdated methods. We embrace the latest scientific advancements to give our puppies the best start in life:

  • Genetic Health: Every single one of our breeding dogs undergoes full Orivet DNA testing to ensure they are clear of hereditary conditions.

  • Premium Nutrition: From day one, our mothers and puppies are supported by a premium fresh food nutrition programme for optimal immune development.

  • Early Development: We follow a science-based curriculum, including Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) from days 3 to 16, to build lifetime confidence and adaptability.

Professional Care & Continuous Learning

We do not do this alone. Our program operates with the highest level of professional guidance:

  • Veterinary Support: We receive invaluable guidance from Dr Lena and the team at Marburg Veterinary Clinic, who bring years of specialised expertise in canine reproduction.

  • Formal Education: To ensure I am always bringing the best skills to our dogs, I am currently completing the ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services and the ACM40418 Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

A True Family Affair

Ava's Moodles is built on love and teamwork. I am incredibly grateful for the hands-on help from my partner, Travis, and my children, Nathaniel and Avery (affectionately known as Ava, the inspiration behind our name). Our home has also grown with our newest family member, Heidi, born in August 2025, who brings so much extra joy to our lives.
